Last weekend, we celebrated my belated birth-date, now an annual tradition. Our packed day included a visit to the Neue Galerie, the Merchants House Museum (above), and the Skyscraper Museum. In between visits, we stopped for a lovely meat and cheese filled lunch at Il Buco Alimentari. The day concluded with dinner and mini-golf at Brooklyn Crab, my favorite stop of the day - if you haven't been, it's awesome. For more photos, check out my instagram feed (I'm @shoshauna).

For this installment, cheese club enjoyed the cheeses of Belgium, complete with a selection of Belgium beers. I brought Cabricharme and Picoleur (especially excellent) which featured a fantastic illustration of the cheese-maker (see below).

cheese club: to the farm
Cheese club took another field trip; this time we toured Cherry Grove Farm, near Princeton, New Jersey. We walked around the farm, visited the goats....
...enjoyed a couple of the farm's cheeses, including the Herdsman and Buttermilk Brie...
and tried cheese curds for the first time!

cheese club: a visit to astoria
Cheese club took a field trip to the Greek-centric neighborhood of Astoria in Queens. We started with grilled cheese sandwiches and a cheese plate from the Queens Kickshaw (below).
We visited a couple Greek and European markets, including Mediterranean Foods......and finished our day with a cheese plate and mushroom panini from Il Bambino.
