Remember way back when (we're talking May of last year) when I was deciding what to wear to Eunice's wedding? Well, I wasn't allowed to post about the wedding until the article in Martha Stewart Wedding's came out (on newsstands today!). The above photo is featured in the current issue, and I've taken the liberty of pointing out myself in the mix.
It was a truly spectacular event, with tons of hand crafted details, a beautiful location and a pie bar! If weddings are your thing, see the entire gallery of photos here.Top two photos by Emily Nathan, bottom photo by Sara Remington.

knit bangle, part two
Here is my first attempt at making the knit bangle I posted about a few weeks ago. It's a super easy and quick project - only took one evening watching figure skating. I used a wool/silk blend, but I'm not sure it the best fiber for the job. Cute-ish?

reknit
Did you happen to hear the story on NPR about ReKnit? Its a mother/son team that takes your old sweater, along with $30, and reknits it into something new. She is the knitter, and he is graphic designer/webmaster. Last month the re-knitted item was a scarf, and this month it's fingerless gloves. You can even vote to see what she will knit next!

nine-oh
I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I've probably seen every episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 so when I found these European display windows, I was more than a little excited. I think Dylan is my favorite (he's soooo deep...):

from the kitchen
Some of my favorite objects I put in the kitchen, like the Jonathan Adler salt and pepper shakers (above), and matching Pyrex set, collected over 2 states (below):
Antique pitcher from Jeff's grandmother and chicken sugar dish:
Cupcake container, vintage California plate and shell from the Yucatan Peninsula:
Strawberry flavor packaging found at my grandmother's house (with flavoring still intact!) and Nixon family salt and pepper shakers:
I cleaned the counter tops after I took these photos.
